THIRD WEEKENDS AT LACMA

Institutional Strategy / Public Engagement

Held on the third weekend of each month, Third Weekends at LACMA invites visitors to explore art, culture, and community at events inspired by the museum’s encyclopedic collection and special exhibitions. 

With both free and ticketed programming, visitors can take their own journey through the museum’s events and exhibitions. Come for one program and stay a whole day. Return each month to experience something new or revisit a favorite event series.

LAB RESIDENCY

Artist Development / Community Engagement

The ESMoA LAB Residency is a reprise of the ESMoA Experience Scholarship established in 2019. The goal of the residency is to provide an experimental space for Los Angeles based artists to create original artwork, performance, or composition and to engage with ESMoA audiences.

This program is part of the museum’s mission to Reimagine Creativity and has been designed to support artists in the creation of original works and presenting their work to arts audiences.

MYCHAL’S/ESMoA EDUCATION INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Partnerships / Access / Organizational Impact

The Mychal’s/ESMoA Education Internship program is a paid internship at ESMoA designed to introduce students from Mychal’s Path to Independence (P2I) program to future career opportunities in the arts/cultural organizations. Mychal’s interns learn gallery-teaching methods and provide arts instruction to students who visit ESMoA on field trips.

Mychal’s Learning Place is an after-school and adult day program for individuals with developmental disabilities. Provides life skills training, job training, and social recreation opportunities.
